R.A.W.Land!

Jointly launched by China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF) and Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) from 2013, R.A.W.Land! is an arts carnival including performances, visual exhibitions, master workshops and art bazaars. Aiming at "Open to visitors, open to artists, cultural and educational, build the brand”, as one of the key sections of CSIAF, R.A.W.Land! has won high praises from professionals at home and abroad as well as audiences. During mid October every year, the commissioned original works selected from R.A.W! In this week, all the performance spaces in STA will be open. The professional advantages of CSIAF and abundant resources of STA will be fully integrated to plan and implement the series of activities. There are performances, visual exhibitions, lectures and creative bazaars in R.A.W.Land!, which attracted more than 100,000 visitors. R.A.W.Land! takes young people, art lovers, white collars, expatriates based in Shanghai, art professionals at home and abroad, performance agencies of various regions and guests of major arts festivals as the target audiences also opens to the public. Put audiences' demands at the forefront, R.A.W.Land! attaches importance to audiences’ visual experience and works’ esthetics. R.AW.Land! effectively combines social impact and economic profit, further explores the market-oriented business model of art performing, so as to build an enduring brand with strong competitiveness and international impact in the cultural industry, highlighting the core concept of “arts pioneer” and showing the brand connotation of “new ideas, international fashion and crossover guidance”.
