Group Exhibition: Fictitious Trade:Duplicating Stories without Bartering
Curated jointly by Dongkun Lyu and Lingli Chen, the exhibition focuses on how to regenerate the cultural story of the Silk Road in contemporary times. Displaying the works of six artists, encompassing Lihong Bai, Xinhao Cheng, Yixin Tong, Chenyu Mao, Yuling Qin, and Yuhang Wu to tell the story of "materials" in the New Silk Road trade, this exhibition will be presented in three chapters: ‘Old crops and New Piastre, Regression and Approaching” learns from the The beginning of the trade route, delving into the flow of meaning embeded in the transisions of materials; ‘Union of Botanists’ shows multi-sensory communication beyond the Anthropocene; ‘Ethnography of Materials, Minstrels of spirits’ selects multi-media art works to try to rewrite new ethnography and encyclopedia.
