Rising Artists Works
Rising Artists’ Works (R.A.W.!) was established in 2012 by China Shanghai International Arts Festival. With the mission of “Bringing Together Young Creatives, Showcasing China’s Innovation,” Rising Artists Works (R.A.W.!) aims at promoting innovation and cooperation, inspiring artistic fireworks. R.A.W.! has built a practical platform for young artists to create and explore. It provides opportunities of international exchange and collaboration to broaden global perspectives. It also incubates original works that represent China’s new generation with worldwide influence and competitiveness. To this day, R.A.W.! has commissioned 85 young artists active in all fields to create 71 original works of stage arts works，more and more young artists are appearing on the local and international stage.
R.A.W.Land!
R.A.W! Land was jointly launched by China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF) and Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) from 2013, which is an arts carnival gathering stage performances, vision exhibitions, master class and originality bazaar. As one of the key sections of CSIAF, R.A.W! Land has won high praises from professionals at home and abroad as well as audiences based on the purpose of “Open door schooling, open door festival. Brand building by, culture and education.” Every year, the commissioned works selected of R.A.W! (Rising Artists Works) program all premiere in R.A.W! Land. Besides, invited shows from all over the world are also wonderfully presented. R.A.W! Land effectively combines social impact and economic profit, further explores the market-oriented business model for performing arts, so as to build an enduring brand with strong competitiveness and international impact in the cultural industry, highlighting the core concept of “arts pioneer” and showing the brand connotation of “new ideas, international fashion and crossover guidance”.
